When parents email to inquire about newborn sessions, I am always so excited to hear whether they are expecting a boy or a girl. This year, it has been quite a few girls! So I officially dub 2015 the year of the girls. 2016 will for sure be the year of the boys, as 2014 was definitely a boys year.
I couldn’t wait to meet little Delaney. I knew going into the session that she has an 11 year old brother who just adores his new little sister. It was fun to have a sibling that could actually hold the baby, usually I am wrangling a toddler into the picture, and sometimes that doesn’t go so well! Ha! So to have a sibling that could hold and love on his baby sister was a different take for me.
Delaney would have preferred to sleep on her momma’s chest all afternoon, but with a little (a lot!) of milk, she was milk drunk enough to be coaxed into a few pictures. But don’t you love the one picture where she has locked eyes with my camera? It is rare that this happens, but I love when it does.
